Making Paper Plate Jellyfish

Last week Room 19 and 20 made paper plate jellyfish. We made them in our home class table. We made them with paper plates. I painted my one orange with purple spots. I felt proud of myself when I finished making it. It was fun.

Something in the water

On Monday morning we went to the hall for assembly to learn about fish. First Mr Burt was cutting and cooking the fish. Then we watched a movie about the ocean and sea creature. Finally we went back to class. I liked the movies.

The Matariki story

On a dark starry night I sail out to sea. I put my ladder high up into the sky.  I climb carefully  up the ladder.  All around me I see bright  stars. I  reach outand touch the  stars. I grab the seven Matariki stars I see the new year begin.

Rotorua Thermal Pools

I am in Rotorua at the Thermal pools. I can see some shallow mud pools. I can see some sharp grey rocks. I can see am rising. I see gurgling mud going plop plop plop. I can feel the hot murky water. I can feel the mud squishing between my toes. The air smells like rotten eggs.

Feeding the ducks

On Monday we went to the duck pond to feed the ducks. The duck pond was dirty, th water was green and slimy. It was filled with rubbish. The ducks had brown feathers and they were cute! It made me feel happy!
